Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

Welcome to Burnham Sailing Club Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) section. Our SUP section is ever growing and a vibrant new part of our club. SUP is a relatively new watersport perfect for experienced paddlers to undertake on the river. Standing up and paddling is a great way to work your entire body, whether you are leisure paddling, training or racing – nearly every muscle is tackled!
SUP is a quick and easy way to hit the water, working your core, improving your cardio fitness and building your strength, balance and flexibility. A relatively low impact sport, it’s simple and easy for virtually anyone to get into. It’s not just fitness – SUP is perfect for socialising on our group paddles or for mindfulness and stress relief on a sunrise or sunset paddle..
Join us on our group paddles on a Wednesday evening throughout the spring and summer, for a gentle paddle in company and socialising back at the club after. Alongside our regular paddles, there are many calendar events throughout the year within the section such as Easter and solstice paddles. As well as part of our whole club events like the club regatta.
